VOYAG3R.SITE
Voyag3r.site is a 3D documentation site of a multimedia interactive performance I gave at ITP NYU in Fall 2025. For Ali Santana's Alter Egos class, I developed my character as 'Voyag3R,' a fictional 3rd iteration of the Voyager satellite program. The real Voyager satellites, commissioned in part by the late Carl Sagan, inspired me to recapture the past optimism for technology while confronting the existential dread we grapple with in modern technology and society.
PROCESS
For this performance, I made: a TouchDesigner media server system that I controlled with my hand gestures while performing; a Swift iOS app that sent a live video feed of my front facing camera to TouchDesigner via NDI; a Node.js website where audience members could join with their phones and show up on the main projection screen; video art projected throughout the performance; a paper mache satellite dish that I sculpted and attached to an airsoft helmet; 3D printed an arm to attach to my helmet and hold my phone. I also sang 2 songs live!
