AIRMMERSION is a narrative immersive installation about the air we share. Made in collaboration with Tiffany Ziyi Yuan and Dr. Julia Solomonoff.
ABOUT
A narrative immersive installation exploring the air we share. Visitors' movements are blob-tracked and rendered as particle bodies, while breath-like currents of air flow between people and the environment — realized with real-time projection built in TouchDesigner.
INSTALLATION
Using a depth camera system and TouchDesigner, our installation reacted to people's presence in the space and connections with one another, visualizing the things we share invisibly. Ruth Asawa-inspired wire forms and woven strands of air were also projected across the room, reacting to the narrative audio of the piece in real-time.
